Opt-out of Testing?

As per my last post, my mind is everywhere considering the testing quagmire and I feel stuck in as a parent.

But I am feeling the need to do something. Something big. Don’t know what that is yet, but I’ll keep you posted.

This image/quote came across my facebook feed when I got home that night and felt appropriate. Substitute the word “war” with “testing” and I think we might have a solution. My child cannot be evaluated by a score, nor can her teachers, her principal, or her school. If we refuse to let our children be tested, how would that shape this culture of testing? Hmmmmm…..

I think it’s time to opt-out.
