National Conference on Race & Ethnicity in American Higher Education (NCORE), May 29 – June 2, New York City:

I didn’t present here, but I acquired partial funding for myself, the peer mentor coordinator, and three peer mentors of the New Community College to attend.  Attended conference workshops on racial microaggressions, pedagogical approaches to teaching about race intersectionality, engaging learners through visual images to teach diversity and culture, and peer mentoring for student success.

I co-presented with my college, Nicole Saint-Louis: Ethnographies of Work: Teaching Students to Think about a Career Path.
